Day 3, a little better!

This is day 3 and I feel a little better. Yesterday I had the doc prescribe me some sleeping medicine (Lorazepam) and it did magic. I think I slept about 9 hours in the same position it knocked me out. Today, I don't have black spots under my eyes from lack of sleep.  The pills are so tiny, makes me wonder how they can deliver so much punch.

Here is a pic of it:

Also, I noticed that my spleen no longer hurts as much.. I can even sleep on my left side now. I do feel nauseous after I take Prednisone steroids. But I got only one more day left to take them! Hope I will feel better after that.

My hair is still firmly attached to my head. Tanya (my gf) makes sure to check it every day by pulling pretty damn hard on it. Sometimes she does it when I'm still asleep!

I am losing some weight, but that's probably cause of no eating. I hope once the nausea feeling stops, I will start eating again. But I sure could lose another 10lb to bring me to the appropriate weight I should have.

Today is Friday. I hope I can feel alright to visit some friends, if not they said they would come over.
I got big plans for Sunday, we are going to Niagara Falls with some friends. We bought a good deal on DealFind (groupon like site). That gives us falls view hotel room, with casino money, dinner at The Keg, and some money for Dave and Buster's.

So I am looking forward to that, hopefully I will feel alright!

Happy Weekend everyone!

Good to hear you are feeling better and finally was able to get some sleep.
I think you need to switch to some green pills, I heard they do magic too, but they usually lil bigger in size ;)

  2. Lynda Stay strong you are on the road to recovery. Have you had any wierd dreams? I wish they would give me a sleeping pill. The steroids are wicked.

  3. Hey Lynda, no weird dreams yet. This was a first real night of sleep.. It was very deep. In fact, I only woke up because my cat decided to claw my toe. Otherwise, I could have slept for another good hour or so.

Yeah the steroids suck indeed. But, gotta go through it, not much you can do.

  4. Hey my hair fell out by the handfuls 3 days after my 2nd treatment. My sister Irene kept pulling my hair also. I would have laugh my ass off if a handful would have come out the last time she pulled it. 2 days after my 2nd treatment. You have to keep a sense of humor.

  5. Lynda are you also DLBC ? Are you done your treatment?
I agree, no reason to be all sad and crying. Gotta make the best of the situation. When my hair starts to fall off, I am planning on doing some cool haircuts I wouldn't otherwise have.

  6. By the way my son is Justin. I have Stage 2 invasive breast cancer. I am on my 2nd treatment out of 8 then radiation for a month straight. Then 5 years medication. My treatments are every 2 weeks. By the way I don't know if they told you bit don't shave your head use a #1 blade when shaving it off. I wish I had taken it off before it started to hurt because the minute it's off the pain stops. I took pictures while it was being shaved. The Iroquois had me laughing. Good luck.
